Entry Requirement

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to

Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work

Course Overview

Explain the 9 classes of hazardous substances and their identification
Explain the purpose of legislation requirements on the transportation of hazardous materials
Explain the roles and responsibilities of their drivers in any emergency
Learn about Transportation Emergency Response Plan and emergency procedure guide
Explain the basic principles of the chemistry of fire
Know more about basic fire fighting Have more knowledge about practical training on a fire extinguisher

Certification

Upon passing a theory test, you will receive a Statement of Test Results. This will enable you to apply for a Hazardous Materials Transport Driver Permit (HTDP) from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
