    Frequently Asked Questions
What is Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and why is it important?
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the cleanliness and healthiness of the air inside buildings. Good IAQ is essential for health, comfort, and productivity, as poor air quality can lead to respiratory issues, allergies, and other health problems.
Common sources include dust, mold, pet dander, smoke, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from paints and cleaning products, poor ventilation, and emissions from office equipment and furniture.
IAQ can be improved by increasing ventilation, using air purifiers, maintaining HVAC systems, reducing pollutants at the source, and incorporating plants that naturally filter the air.
Poor IAQ can cause headaches, fatigue, allergies, respiratory issues, and long-term exposure can lead to severe conditions like asthma and lung disease. It can also affect cognitive function and overall well-being.
Yes, organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have guidelines for IAQ to ensure healthy indoor environments.
